It’s week 4 of our “Meet the Director” series and this week we are introducing you to Ashley Grizzell, Managing Director of CTS Chattanooga. Ashley has been with CTS since 2005 in a number of different roles, and has been leading the Chattanooga team since 2011.
I spend most of my free time trying to keep up with my three year old daughter. As a family fairly new to the Chattanooga area, we have enjoyed exploring all of the kid-friendly activities that Chattanooga has to offer as well as creating new friendships. We love to travel and recently purchased a camper so this summer you will see us enjoying the great outdoors as we visit various campgrounds across the southeast. On those rare occasions when I do have time to myself, I enjoy going to arts and crafts festivals and then attempting to make my own creations.
Why did you choose CTS?
CTS is the only “real job” I have had since I started here shortly after finishing graduate school. Back then I didn’t really know what I wanted to do or what kind of company I wanted to work for, but CTS seemed like a fun place to work and they definitely had smart people. The reason I continue to work here nine years later is because every day there is something new. Whether it’s a new client, a new business problem, a new technology, or a new team member, we are always learning and striving to be the best for our clients which fits nicely with my restless yet perfectionist personality.
What is your favorite Chattanooga Fun Team event?
This is a hard one for me because I like most of our fun team events. But way back before we called them fun team events, we had a team building camping/white water rafting trip and that’s probably my favorite. Now that I’m in the CTS office closest to the Ocoee, I’m trying to make that one of this year’s fun team events!
What is your professional goal for the Chattanooga office this year?
If you come to the CTS Chattanooga office, you will see the CTS mission statement displayed on our wall – Deliver superior solutions for our customers, careers for our employees, and growth in our communities. That’s our focus every day. Since we opened the Chattanooga office two and a half years ago, we have supported several local customers, we have hired over a dozen local employees, and we have become deeply involved in the community through the Chattanooga Technology Council. I am proud of what the Chattanooga office has accomplished so far and I look forward to continue growing all three of those areas for many years to come.
