Borland’s Silk Mobile is an automated testing tool for mobile platforms, allowing users to develop and execute tests that target applications on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Blackberry devices. Using Silk Mobile, you can develop tests that target one platform and execute them against others. Silk Mobile uses an object repository, so, if your objects have the same names across multiple platforms, executing a test from one platform on another is as simple as copying the script and selecting the correct device.
Perhaps the best feature in Silk Mobile is the ability to export tests you’ve written into various programming languages such as C#, Python, Perl, or jUnit (among others). By exporting into a programming language, you can utilize tests written in Silk Mobile in a continuous integration process. In other words, every time the application you’ve written tests for has a new release, you can automatically execute those tests. Interested in Silk Mobile?
